Job summary

EIMCo is seeking a dedicated material handler to support loading, unloading, and movement of materials in a manufacturing setting. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, assemble crates, and ensure accurate records in ERP systems.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to 5S, and quality control, with common benefits and potential overtime as needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred and OSHA-like safety practices apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
• The work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes.
• Overtime may be required as deemed necessary by management.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies.
• Provide accessible and responsive material handling services for loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Load and unload materials from vehicles with proper strapping and bracing to prevent shifting or damage.
• Assemble crates, boxes, and other material containers to contain products and facilitate movement.
• Count and weigh incoming or outgoing items to verify accuracy.
• Package parts according to EIMCo standards and customer requirements.
• Complete accurate daily records in Shop Travelers and the ERP system.
• Follow instructions from all EIMCo documentation (Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints).
• Inform quality control and shift supervisor/lead of issues with parts.
• Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services under the EIMCo Quality Manual.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report any concerns.
• Comply with 5S procedures and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
• Safely conduct all tasks per EIMCo Safety Policies, including PPE requirements.
• Maintain all required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
