Job summary

Old World Industries is seeking a Material Handler to support the production line and ensure timely, quality packaging of finished goods. You will operate a forklift, move materials, and verify packing specs while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years’ relevant experience, and forklift certification. Team collaboration and adherence to safety rules are essential in this unionized environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or 1-3 years relevant experience.
• Must be a certified forklift operator.
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
• Understand written and verbal work instructions.
• Good judgment and decision making, able to work independently or in team environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a union and non-union workforce

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and move materials and finished goods through the facility.
• Maintain pallet tags and ensure no product damage or leaks.
• Follow packing specs and ensure correct packaging, labeling and orientation.
• Keep line running at optimal speed and prepare line setups.
• Record production data and complete daily production boards.
• Communicate mechanical or electrical issues to supervision.
