Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Materials/Material Handler responsible for the overall receiving, warehousing, tracking, storage and distribution of production materials. You will maintain ERP accuracy and ensure safety and attendance expectations are met.

Responsibilities include receiving, put-away, picking, packing, cycle counts and material releases with ERP. Requires HS diploma, ERP familiarity, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and forklift/pallet jack operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED).
• Inventory Management, warehousing experience preferred.
• Familiar with ERP Systems, preferred.
• Knowledge of Inventory Management procedures.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to read, comprehend, and write correspondence and reports in English; must be able to communicate with multiple levels of staff throughout the organization.
• Effective organizational skills, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with computer technology applications that support the materials planning and procurement process (i.e. ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Physical ability to move inventory material as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Able to stand on concrete for long periods of time.
• Able to operate pallet jack and forklift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain system accuracy for receiving, organizing, segregating, identifying and storing inventory materials in active warehouses.
• Unload, put-away, sort, label, pick, package, replenish, and audit materials.
• Issue materials to WIP and shipping using ERP and pick lists.
• Maintain email communications for warehouse requests and notifications.
• Ensure materials are identified with G&D item numbers and ERP IDs.
• Move material by hand, pallet jack or forklift.
• Conduct physical and cycle counts to meet guidelines.
• Participate in yearly inventories and cycle counts.
• Follow safety procedures in daily work activities.
• Ensure compliance with secured material regulations.
• Resolve discrepancies with manager's help.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
