Job Purpose

To perform warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling in support of Dana's operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparing shipments for customers, including packaging, banding, shrink wrapping, weighing, labeling, and loading/unloading trucks.
  • Auditing and verifying outgoing shipments to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Loading and unloading freight, incoming and outgoing.
  • Moving materials within the warehouse and campus, including pulling and storing products, utilizing reports for on-time delivery and inventory accuracy.
  • Transporting products across departments using warehouse trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintaining 5S standards, organization, cleanliness of the warehouse, and equipment.
  • Consolidating FG parts to optimize space utilization.
  • Learning and using MRP/ERP systems and related devices like scanners and printers.
  • Troubleshooting quantity discrepancies with manufacturing, analyzing reports, inventory, and system data.
  • Participating in continuous improvement, safety, quality, and housekeeping activities.
  • Supporting team members by filling in for shipping/receiving roles as needed.
  • Preparing for annual physical inventory as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Computer literacy, including internet and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of warehouse control, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Ability to update inventories and documents accurately.
  • Cross-training in all operational facets, including shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Handling confidential information responsibly.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Filing and record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency in using material handling equipment such as hand jacks and forklifts.
  • Ability to focus in a busy environment and multi-task.
