Job Purpose and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing shipments for customers, including packaging, banding, shrink wrapping, weighing, labeling, and loading/unloading onto and off trucks.
  • Auditing and verifying outgoing shipments to ensure quality products are picked up on schedule.
  • Loading and unloading freight, whether incoming or outgoing.
  • Moving materials within the warehouse and campus, including pulling and storing products, and generating reports to achieve on-time delivery and inventory accuracy.
  • Supporting all departments by transporting products throughout the campus using warehouse trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintaining 5S standards, organization, cleanliness of the warehouse area, and all equipment used.
  • Consolidating finished goods (FG) parts in the shipping area to optimize space and rack utilization.
  • Learning and understanding MRP/ERP systems and operating associated devices such as handheld scanners and printers.
  • Troubleshooting quantity discrepancies with manufacturing personnel, including report analysis, physical inventories, and system entries.
  • Participating in continuous improvement, safety, quality, and housekeeping activities.
  • Filling in or backing up Shipping/Receiving team members as directed by the supervisor.
  • Preparing for yearly physical inventories as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Computer literacy, including internet and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of warehouse control, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Ability to update computer inventories and documentation accurately.
  • Cross-training in all operational facets to support shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information properly.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and filing.
  • Experience with material handling equipment such as hand jacks and forklifts.
  • Ability to stay focused in a busy environment and multitask effectively.
