Openwork is hiring a Material Handler / Deburr for a hands-on role in Oklahoma City, OK. You will grind, deburr, clean, and prepare sheet metal parts, while loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the production facility.

Requirements include 1 year of material handling or related manufacturing experience, forklift and overhead crane operation, and ability to read a tape measure. The position is 1st shift, Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, full-time temp-to-hire with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from manufacturing machines.
• Operate overhead cranes to move heavy materials.
• Use forklifts to transport and stage materials.
• Measure materials and parts with a tape measure.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and defects.

Openwork is hiring an experienced Material Handler / Deburr for an established industrial manufacturing company in Oklahoma City, OK 73179.

This hands-on position focuses on grinding, deburring, cleaning, and preparing sheet metal and steel components, along with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the production facility.

Qualified candidates must have at least 1 year of material handling or related manufacturing experience, hands-on forklift and overhead crane operating experience, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure. Strong attention to safety, quality, and reliability is essential.

Position Details:

• Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73179.
• Pay: $18–$19/hr | Weekly Pay.
• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
• Shift: 1st Shift.
• Employment: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire.
• Overtime: As needed based on production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove burrs, nicks, sharp edges, and rough surfaces from sheet metal and steel plate.
• Grind, deburr, clean, and prepare manufactured metal parts.

• Cut, collect, and remove scrap materials from production areas.
• Load and unload materials and parts from manufacturing machines.
• Operate overhead cranes regularly to lift, position, and move heavy materials.
• Operate forklifts to transport and stage materials.
• Measure materials and parts accurately using a tape measure.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and surface defects.
• Organize and stage materials for production.
• Follow established safety procedures when handling metal and operating equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Non-climate-controlled industrial manufacturing facility.
• Regular operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Frequent exposure to industrial equipment and manufacturing noise.
• Participation in a hearing conservation program.
• Ability to lift and move 25–50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and physical activity.
• Comfortable handling sheet metal, steel plate, and manufactured components.
