Job summary

TimberTech is hiring a Material Handler to safely stage, transport, and organize raw materials and finished goods across a busy manufacturing facility. You will report to the Production Shift Supervisor and help maintain material flow while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, reliable multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting, and willingness to work overtime as needed. Training through TRAK may be provided to meet qualification requirements.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules to support business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Safely stage, transport, and organize raw materials and finished products.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections and safely operate equipment.
  • Ensure production teams have necessary materials and supplies to maintain operations.
  • Transport finished products to designated storage locations using scanning and inventory procedures.
  • Assist with wrapping, banding, and moving finished goods as needed.
  • Assist with loading regrind materials into silos or bags and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Stage bins, skids, and raw materials to support production schedules.
  • Assist Receiving with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Monitor silo levels to ensure adequate material supply for production.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

This position is eligible for a $3,000 Bonus!

$1,500 at 3 Months!

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for safely staging, transporting, and organizing raw materials and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, this role plays a key part in supporting production operations, maintaining material flow, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a safe workplace by following all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections, safely operate equipment, and replace propane tanks as needed.
  • Ensure production teams have the necessary materials and supplies to maintain efficient operations, including:
    • Capping
    • Dunnage boards
    • Boxes
    • Scrap bins
  • Transport finished products to designated storage locations using scanning and inventory procedures.
  • Assist with wrapping, banding, and moving finished goods as needed.
  • Support the loading of regrind materials into silos or bags.
  • Assist with grinder operation and basic maintenance activities.
  • Stage bins, skids, and raw materials to support production schedules.
  • Help with cardboard recycling and waste management initiatives.
  • Assist the Receiving Department with loading and unloading trucks when needed.
  • Monitor and document silo levels to ensure adequate material supply for production.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to meet qualification and certification requirements through TimberTech's Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) Program.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules to support business needs.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the shift
  • Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally lift materials weighing up to 100 pounds or more with appropriate assistance
  • Push and pull material carts and equipment
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
    • Safety glasses
    • Hearing protection
    • Steel-toed footwear
    • Gloves and arm protection
    • Face shields as required
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, dust, and varying noise levels.
  • Regular housekeeping and workspace organization are required.
  • Must be able to work safely in a 24/7 production environment.
