Job summary

The AZEK Company is seeking a Material Handler to oversee the staging and movement of raw materials and finished products within the production environment. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, reporting to the production supervisor.

No prior experience is required, but forklift certification and TRAK training are required. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Staging and movement of raw materials and finished products in production.
  • Inspect forklift and change propane tanks; operate forklift safely.
  • Provide supplies to extrusion operators and production staff.
  • Assist in wrapping, moving finished material, and storage.
  • Scan completed material rack before transporting to storage area.
  • Assist loading regrind into silos or bags as directed.
  • Assist in grinders operation and general maintenance as requested.
  • Support staging of bins, skids, and raw materials for production.

Job Summary

The Material Handler, under the direction of the Manager, will be responsible for the staging and movement of raw materials and finished products within the production environment.

Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:30PM.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ø Contribute to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
  • Ø Inspect forklift daily, change propane tanks as needed, and safely operate forklift.
  • Ø Ensure extrusion operators and production assistants obtain needed supplies and materials in a timely manner (i.e. capping, dunnage boards, boxes, scrap bins).
  • Ø May assist in wrapping and banding finished material and moving to storage area on occasion.
  • Ø Scan completed material rack before transporting to designated storage area.
  • Ø May assist loading regrind into silos or bags as directed.
  • Ø Assist in the operation and general maintenance of grinders as requested.
  • Ø Provide production support in the staging of bins, skids, and raw materials.
  • Ø Assist in recycling of cardboard and other waste products.
  • Ø Depending on plant (Wood, PVC or Rail), may assist Receiving Department in loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Ø Depending on plant (Wood, PVC or Rail), may observe and document silo readings to ensure appropriate amount of material is available for daily production.
  • Ø Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.

No prior experience necessary

Meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech's Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program

Forklift certification

Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced
