Job summary

IFF Inc. in South Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Material Handler (Receiving Operator) to control or operate machinery along a production line, perform stock picking, and ensure inventory accuracy.

The DAY shift M-F role involves forklift certification, working in a food/chemical production environment, and learning new skills in a dynamic team. Responsibilities include receiving shipments, sampling materials, weighing, loading/unloading, and using WMS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Experience with forklifts or material‑handling equipment (certification may be required).
• Basic computer and inventory‑tracking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities.
• Sampling of raw materials and unloading trailers.
• Weigh out materials and support picking.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Move materials to storage or production areas.
• Pick and stage materials for production or shipping.
• Operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks or hand truck.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanners to track inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas organized.

As a Material Handler (Receiving Operator) you will complete all assigned work including picking stock in a safe accountable manner and ensures associated stock accuracy where applicable during the shift. If you have experience in warehouse and materials this is for you! This position is located in South Brunswick, NJ USA. This position is DAY SHIFT M-F. You will report to the Team leader or supervisor and learn new skills to stay current with the needs of the position in a changing environment. You will be trained and certified to use different types of a fork lift truck. You will have a great educational background with experience in a food/chemical production environment.
