Job summary

IFF in South Brunswick, NJ, USA, is seeking a Material Handler (Receiving Operator) to support manufacturing, packaging, and other production line steps. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, forklift operation, and strong inventory accuracy in a food/chemical production environment.

The position is day shift, Monday to Friday, reporting to the Team Leader or Supervisor. Training on forklift equipment and use of WMS will be provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Experience with forklifts or material-handling equipment (may require certification).
• Basic computer and inventory-tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities.
• Sample raw materials and unload trailers.
• Pick and weigh out materials.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Move materials to storage or production areas.
• Pick and stage materials for production or shipping.
• Operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, or hand truck.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanners to track inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas organized.

As a Material Handler (Receiving Operator) you will complete all assigned work including picking stock in a safe accountable manner and ensures associated stock accuracy where applicable during the shift. If you have experience in warehouse and materials this is for you! This position is located in South Brunswick, NJ USA. This position is DAY SHIFT M-F.

You will report to the Team leader or supervisor and learn new skills to stay current with the needs of the position in a changing environment. You will be trained and certified to use different types of a fork lift truck. You will have a great educational background with experience in a food/chemical production environment.
