Job summary

International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) is seeking a Material Handler in Jacksonville, FL to support manufacturing operations on site. You will move, store, and deliver materials, assist with blending and packaging, and help ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments, and familiarity with SAP or warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and operating instructions.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and SAP or warehouse management software.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and perform physical activities throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload tank trucks, railcars, ISO tanks, and raw material containers.
  • Perform blending operations according to formulas and quality specs.
  • Package finished products and prepare materials for shipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Collect product samples and support quality control activities.
  • Complete production, inventory, shipping, and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support site operations.

As a Material Handler, you will play an important role in ensuring materials, products, and supplies are accurately moved, stored, and delivered to support manufacturing operations.

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Load and unload tank trucks, railcars, ISO tanks, and raw material containers while ensuring safe and efficient material handling.
  • Perform blending operations according to established formulas, procedures, and quality specifications.
  • Package finished products and prepare materials for shipment to customers and off-site warehouse locations.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Collect product samples and support quality control activities to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete production, inventory, shipping, and quality documentation while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and company standards.
  • Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support efficient site operations.

What Makes You the Right Fit?

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience with bulk loading and unloading operations, including tank trucks, railcars, or ISO tanks.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and operating instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and moving materials throughout the shift.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, GMP, or other quality management systems.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, SAP, or warehouse management software.
