Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to move, track, and store materials and finished goods by operating equipment, loading pallets, verifying inventory, and completing labeling, inspections, and paperwork while maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

You will lift and transfer material from supply pallets, log information into the computer, and load/unload pallets from trailers. The role requires working at heights with fall protection and passing a vision exam.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining the corrugated recycling station.
• Ability to operate the overhead crane system.
• Experience with inventory control procedures, paperwork, and computer data entry.
• Ability to inspect parts, orders, and equipment for quality and safety.
• Commitment to personal and area safety.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Lift and transfer material from supply pallets to line pallets or staging areas.
• Count and verify the material on the pallet and log information into the computer.
• Separate pallets with mixed parts onto individual pallets for storage/shipment.
• Load and unload tractor trailers of pallets using sit-down or standing powered industrial trucks.
• Attach identification and labels to product and materials.
• Lift and carry products and materials to fabrication, assembly cells, dock, and other areas.
• Work for sustained time at height of 20 to 40 feet above ground, using fall-arrest gear.
• Vision – must pass eye exam.
