Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a warehouse/material handler to load, warehouse, and ship diverse containers using manual and mechanical processes. You will participate in the AdvanSix Operating System principles, including Standard Work and 5S, and may train junior staff.

The role requires a forklift license, 12-hour rotating shifts, and adherence to safety and PPE protocols. Applicants must pass background checks and drug testing and work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED.
• Must be willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift environment that includes holidays, weekends, and required overtime.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel
• Must be able to complete a background check and drug test successfully
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must be willing and able to work in a team environment
• Must meet minimum physical requirements needed to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to safely wear, utilize, and operate all required personal protective equipment (PPE) according to manufacturer specifications.

• Obtain a fork lift license

• Train unqualified Material Handlers
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Chemical operations background/experience is preferred (at least 1 year)

• Ability to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feet
• Comfortable entering and working in confined spaces

Physical Requirements:

• Required to work on uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces and in adverse weather conditions (cold, hot, humid, rain, snow, etc.)
• Ability to lift and move objects that weigh up to 50 lbs., and exert up to 75 pounds pull
• Ability to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feet

The hourly rate for this position is $21.96
