Sumitomo Drive Technologies in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a full-time warehouse associate to load, unload, move and stock materials. The role requires forklift experience and at least three years in material handling, with a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, check and store merchandise or materials.
• Fill requisitions and orders.
• Pack, crate and ship products and materials to departments or assembly lines.
• Drive forklift, WAV or pallet jack to move bulk products to the proper destination point.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
• Manual lifting will be required as part of regular daily work.
• Keep all direct work areas clean and well organized. Actively practice a culture of 5S in the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety & regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
• Other duties as assigned

Purpose and Scope of Job:

• Primarily responsible for loading, unloading, moving and stocking materials in the warehouse.
