Job summary

The Wasserstrom Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Material Handler/Cherry Picker Operator to load and unload shipments, pick and put away products, and verify items using RF scanners in our distribution center.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years previous forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. We currently have aMaterial Handler position available in ourDistribution Center in Columbus, Ohio.

This position is responsible for loading and/or unloading product shipments from trucks to shipping/receiving platform, picking/put-away/counting product from/to racking in case or pallet quantities, utilizing RF scanner and/or pick label to verify item/quantity/location to pick and/or receive, and operatingof multiple pieces of motorized equipmentin asafe and propermanner. Wasserstrom offers first shift starting at 4am and 11am. Monday-Friday work schedule with Saturdays required when needed.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. and the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 1 - 2 years previous forklift experience preferred but not required.
