Job summary

Oldcastle Building Envelope (OBE) is seeking a Materials Handler to maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the department, and to ensure accurate data recording. The typical schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:00pm, in our team-oriented environment.

You will assist with inventory organization, return items to correct locations, and help pick items for production. Candidates must follow safety policies, read simple instructions, perform basic math, read a tape measure, and work well with

Summary

The Materials Handler ensures department cleanliness, orderliness, and safety. The Materials Handler ensures the accurate recording of data. The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Listen and follow the direction of the Production Supervisor, and take guidance from senior team members
• Assist with the physical organization of inventory
• Return inventory items to the proper locations
• Assist materials handlers with picking items required for production

Requirements

• Follow all safety policies & procedures as a prerequisite to employment
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

• Must be able to read a tape measure

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand on feet wearing safety bootsfrom 8-10 hours a day
• Ability to lift, carry, twist, walk, and reach constantly, andbend frequently
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
