Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is hiring a Materials Handler to support inventory organization, data recording, and safe, orderly operations. The typical schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:00am–4:00pm, with emphasis on following supervisor directions and maintaining a clean work area.

The role requires basic reading, math, computer use, tape measure reading, and strong teamwork to ensure accurate data and smooth production flows.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos, and notes.
• Perform basic arithmetic as part of daily tasks.
• Proficient with basic computer use and data entry.
• Able to read a tape measure for measurement tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions from the Production Supervisor and senior staff.
• Organize inventory and keep the area clean and safe.
• Return inventory items to correct locations after use.
• Assist with picking items needed for production lines.

Summary

The Materials Handler ensures department cleanliness, orderliness, and safety. The Materials Handler ensures the accurate recording of data. The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Listen and follow the direction of the Production Supervisor, and take guidance from senior team members
• Assist with the physical organization of inventory
• Return inventory items to the proper locations
• Assist materials handlers with picking items required for production

Requirements

• Follow all safety policies & procedures as a prerequisite to employment
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Able to write and do basic math
• Basic computer skills or willing to learn
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must be able to work well with others

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand on feet wearing safety bootsfrom 8-10 hours a day
• Ability to lift, carry, twist, walk, and reach constantly, andbend frequently
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
