Job summary

Kelly Services in Durham, CT is seeking a Material Handler / Packer (Production) to package and inspect finished products, operate packing equipment, and help maintain a safe, organized work area. The role includes cross-training across production areas to support multiple functions.

Shift is Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM with a pay rate of $20/hour. This hands-on manufacturing position offers opportunities to learn and contribute to quality standards and efficient packaging processes.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine-operation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, adaptable, and willing to learn multiple job functions.
• Strong teamwork and attention to detail.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Material Handler / Packer (Production)

We are seeking a dependable and versatile person to join our Packing Department. This hands‑on manufacturing role involves packaging finished products, operating packing equipment, inspecting products for quality, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.

You will be cross‑trained in additional production areas to support different areas of the manufacturing operation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Package and inspect finished products.
• Assemble cartons, stack pallets, and prepare products for shipment.
• Operate equipment such as riveting machines, pallet lifts, taping machines, glue machines, and carton erectors.
• Maintain production and quality standards.
• Assist with setups and other production tasks.
• Cross‑train and provide support in other areas as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
