Schedule: Tues-Fri 5:30am - 3:30pm

Job Purpose

The Material Handler will operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles. They will move materials throughout the plant to fulfill manufacturing needs. Additionally, they will comply with all safety rules and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Unload and stack materials using lifting devices.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Load or unload materials onto or off trucks for shipment and receipt.
• Maintain the general upkeep of forklifts and replace fuel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; not required.

Specialized Knowledge and Experience

• At least one year of manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Proficient in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Dependable with good attendance and scheduling reliability.
• Capable of performing work safely, including using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and steel-toed shoes.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (hot or cold).
• Passion for delivering quality work and continuous improvement.
