BlueScope Coated Products in Middletown, OH is seeking a Material Handler I for the 5:45 PM–6:00 AM shift, Monday–Thursday. You will operate exit recoiler controls, packaging lines, and a forklift to prepare coils for storage and shipping, ensuring proper identification and labeling. Night premium applies.

Minimum HS diploma; manufacturing experience preferred. Responsibilities include handling finished coils, coordinating with Maintenance and Quality Control, and assisting with packaging

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift and basic packaging equipment.

With more than four decades of expertise providing painted metal coils and toll processing services for industries in the construction and consumer product markets, we pride ourselves on delivering premium quality, reliable service, and ongoing innovation to our customers. **Job Description**Shift 5:45p to 6am Monday - Thursday Compensation starts at $21.50/hr Night Shift premium $1.50/hr Under general supervision, the Material Handler I prepares and packages finished coils in a safe manner to a designated location. This includes operating exit recoiler controls, packaging equipment and driving a forklift. Communicates daily with employees from Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to help resolve any problems and help achieve company goals. **Primary Duties & Responsibilities \\**** Responsible for fulfilling exit assistant duties including operating exit recoiler controls, operating the packaging line and driving a forklift.* Responsible for verifying that finished goods are properly identified with an identification ticket prior to moving them to a storage area* Responsible for preparing materials to be used for packaging and shipping of finished coils* Responsible for quarantining non-conforming material and notifying Quality Control when non-conforming conditions exist* Communicates daily with internal personnel from Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to help resolve any problems and help achieve company goals* Transport a bore horizontal coil from the coil cart to the proper location including using a coil mat/chock. **Education & Experience Qualifications** **Minimum:** * High School diploma or equivalent (GED) or experience **Preferred:** * One year of Manufacturing Experience **Skills & Competencies** * Basic computer skills* Time Management – prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands* Detail Oriented – ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands* Good communication skills**Additional Information** The preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.
