Job summary

Kraft Heinz Winchester is seeking a Material Handler to support the Warehouse operations. You will receive all SAP-ordered items, maintain accurate paperwork, and ensure batch materials are tracked. This role requires strong organization, ability to handle multiple tasks, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you'll help ensure GMP standards and safe, efficient material flow within the plant and related warehouses.

Qualifications

  • Receiving primary, secondary, and raw materials into SAP that deliver into the plant or any contracted warehouses.
  • Maintaining accurate shipping paperwork, Certificate of Analysis, driver information, and any other receiving information that will align with all Kraft Heinz standards.
  • Handle all discrepancies that may arise in the receiving process.
  • Maintain Employee Food Safety Awareness.

Material Handler Job Description

Department: Warehouse

Position Type: Temp to Hire Hourly Wage: $19.51

Function: Operations

Summary: Reporting to the Materials Manager this position will be responsible for receiving all SAP ordered items in a timely and accurate manner. Maintaining accurate paperwork and understanding batch run materials is crucial to the success of this position. The employee must have strong organizational skills and be able to lead multiple tasks at once. This is a high visibility position that has impact on many areas of operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Receiving primary, secondary, and raw materials into SAP that deliver into the plant or any contracted warehouses.
  • Maintaining accurate shipping paperwork, Certificate of Analysis, driver information, and any other receiving information that will align with all Kraft Heinz standards.
  • Handle all discrepancies that may arise in the receiving process.

  • Flexibility to work all hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security.

Physical Considerations

Requires frequent walking and extended periods of standing Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. Ability to climb Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (steel-toed shoes, hair and beard nets, bump caps, gloves, eye protection, aprons etc.) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment Environmental Considerations: Non-temperature-controlled environment Work-Life Balance Considerations: May be requested work occasional overtime (including weekends) Schedules are subject to change based on business needs

Must be comfortable working on a tablet/computer Good communication skills (verbal and written) Must be able to work as both an individual contributor as well as work well as a team member Must be able to adapt to a changing environment/schedule
