Interface, Inc. in West Point, GA is seeking a Material Handler to support accurate storing, shipping, receiving, and delivery to production. The role requires forklift operation, license, and safe handling of yarn and materials in a non-climate controlled facility.

The successful candidate will perform daily inventory audits, use scanners, and adhere to safety and environmental regulations while supporting Interface's sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • Must meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment including forklift operator license.
  • Must have previous forklift experience.
  • Must be able to read and write sufficiently to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Insure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Load and unload yarn from trucks.
  • Pull yarn orders for tufting.
  • Perform daily audits for inventory verification.
  • Move and locate yarn in the warehouse using scanners.
  • Record all cases located into warehouse locations, on the Raw Material Warehouse Case Location Record (FQ-137).
  • Do daily inspection on lift truck equipment.
  • Locate material in their designated areas.
  • Maintain housekeeping
  • Comply with safety rules
  • Comply with environmental regulations
  • Be aware of departmental MSDS sheets.
  • Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
