Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a dedicated 3rd shift material handler to operate forklifts and move pallets, ensuring accurate inventory and on-time delivery to internal and external customers. You will follow all safety and regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least one month of related experience or training; English literacy is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• HiLo forklift driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes and complies with safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Participates in needs analysis and scheduled training identified for this position.
• Supports independent audits and continuous improvement activities.
• Stops work on processes if suspect or defective material to avoid further processing.
• Moves levers and pedals to drive forklift and control lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks and transports loads to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material; inventories materials and supplies workers as needed.
• Recharges batteries or replaces liquefied gas tank.

Ensure that inventory levels are accurate and maintained.
