The Material Handler will be based in ……., reporting to ……

This role involves performing physical or combined administrative/physical tasks related to storing, counting, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. It includes compiling and maintaining records of quantities, costs, and types of materials stocked and issued, and preparing material requisitions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a continuous supply of materials to production lines.
• Provide specified workstations with sufficient quantities of parts.
• Maintain a continuous flow of materials to production lines.
• Work from requisitions, order lists, or stock lists to pull required items.
• Use checklists to ensure kit accuracy when pulling items.
• Accumulate orders, report shortages, and transport completed orders to distribution or staging areas.
• Process returned items and unscheduled issues.
• Maintain inventory records of received, stocked, and issued materials.
• Prepare procurement requests for materials.
• Fully comply with material handling instructions.
• Maintain order in the warehouse and on the production line.
• Provide immediate information on material shortages.
• Collect and dispose of waste according to environmental regulations.
• Attend required training courses for your group or classification.
• Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Take inventory through cycle counting.
• Audit kits for accuracy if required.
