Job summary

Kapco Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for our 2nd shift at the Grafton, WI facility to move raw materials, WIP, and packaging supplies to presses and shipping areas. The role requires forklift certification and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include loading coils, inventory paperwork, scrap disposal, and assisting production with timely delivery. The ideal candidate will keep materials organized and support production operators to maintain steady workflow.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift and safely moving materials.
• Ability to plan movement of parts for production and keep inventory organized.
• Accurate completion of standard inventory paperwork and disposal of scrap.
• Commitment to safe material handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver raw materials, work in progress, and supplies to presses and shipping.
• Load coils and return materials to correct inventory locations.
• Perform pre-shift checks on forklift equipment and maintain records.
• Assist production with timely delivery of products and containers as needed.
• Maintain neat, organized materials and support production flow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Pick up and delivers raw materials, work in process inventory, and packaging supplies, as needed, to and from the presses and shipping areas
• Load coils
• Return correctly identified materials to proper location in inventory
• Dispose of scrap
• Perform necessary identification and inventory paperwork
• Successfully completes forklift certification program
• Practice safe and alert material handling at all times
• Perform pre-shift maintenance checks of designated forklift equipment and associated record keeping
• Must be able to plan for movement of needed parts and material for production
• Keep all materials and products neat and organized
• Assist production operators with timely delivery of products and containers, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
