Kapco Inc. in Grafton, WI is seeking a Material Handler Lead for the 2nd shift to supervise in-plant materials and ensure timely delivery to presses and shipping areas.

You will lead a team, perform forklift duties, manage raw materials and work-in-process inventory, return items to proper locations, and maintain organized storage while following safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

• Lead and work with a team that handles in-plant materials.
• Picks up and delivers raw materials, WIP inventory, and packaging supplies.
• Loads coils and returns materials to proper locations.
• Supplies weld cells and disposes of scrap.
• Performs forklift pre-shift maintenance checks and record keeping.
• Plans movement of parts for production and keeps materials organized.
• Safety team member and leader.
• Assists production operators with delivery of products and containers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and work with a team that handles in-plant materials.
• Picks up and delivers raw materials, work in process inventory, and packaging supplies, as needed, to and from the presses and shipping areas.
• Loads coils.
• Returns correctly identified materials to proper location in inventory.
• Supply weld cells.
• Disposes of scrap.
• Performs necessary identification and inventory paperwork.
• Successfully completes forklift certification program.
• Practices safe and alert material handling at all times.
• Performs pre-shift maintenance checks of designated forklift equipment and associated record keeping.
• Must be able to plan for movement of needed parts and material for production.
• Keeps all materials and products neat and organized.
• Assists production operators with timely delivery of products and containers, as needed.
• Safety team member and leader.
• Keeps team engaged through communication and enthusiasm.
• Other duties as assigned.
