Job summary

Donaldson Company, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler at our Baldwin, WI site to support the machines department by preparing, gathering, and moving parts for industrial air filtration systems.

This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3:15 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and computer skills, and experience reading blueprints.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with prior experience reading prints and assembling products.
  • Reads blueprints and understands written and verbal instructions.
  • Performs basic math and has computer skills.
  • Knowledge of production control practices and department processes.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Move materials within the department and to other departments.
  • Assist co-workers with process; stage parts per build schedule.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Cycle count parts and manage inventory records.
  • Control tagging and parts; maintain clean area.
  • Support receiving function as needed.
  • Adhere to safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies.

The Material Handler at our Baldwin, WI location involves working collaboratively to support the machines department to prepare, gather, and move parts for Industrial air filtration systems in an innovative team orientated environment. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours Monday - Thursday 3:15 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Move materials within the department and to other departments.
  • Assist co-workers with the department process; stage parts inside and outside based on build schedule.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Cycle count parts as required.
  • Department inventory control and reconciliation of inventory records.
  • Manage assembly schedule and update flow board.
  • Control correct tagging and parts.
  • Remove cardboard and wood from plant, maintain clean and organized area.
  • Complies with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Support the receiving function as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience reading prints and assembling products. Read blueprints and understand written and verbal instructions. Perform basic math and computer skills. Acquire knowledge of production control practices. Acquire knowledge of department processes and parts. Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment. Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees. Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal. Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned. Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience operating a forklift. Previous experience with RF reader or other ERP systems.

Hourly Pay Range: $22.30 This position is overtime eligible as per state and federal regulations. This position is eligible for a gainsharing plan based on the achievement of specific goals.
