Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler at our Turners Falls, MA facility. Responsibilities include performing operations related to measuring, inspecting, testing, and re-spooling wire and cable in preparation for shipping or the next process. The minimum hourly rate is $19.81/hour, with a $2.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift.

Job Duties:

1. Work from material movement documents, instructions, and computer scanning devices.
2. Transfer wire manually or using a forklift between locations as instructed.
3. Ensure proper transfer of products and maintain reels and pallets.
4. Weigh and record scrap materials.
5. Detect and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, or unusual conditions.
6. Follow safety rules and regulations.
7. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work areas.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 months of transferrable experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
• Enjoy detailed work and willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of arithmetic, decimals, fractions, and use of measuring instruments.
• Moderate physical effort and continuous attention to repetitive tasks.
