Job summary

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA is seeking a 2nd shift forklift operator in Brook Park, OH to move materials and products within the warehouse. You will use forklifts, cranes or hand trucks as needed and perform basic tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include selecting and packing orders, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining paperwork and safety standards. A high school diploma and forklift experience are preferred; safety testing may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English; French not applicable here.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform basic math.
• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Commitment to safety and to following work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment around the facility using a forklift.
• Select and package products for customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks and verify items loaded.
• Perform cycle counts and identify defective material.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and comply with safety initiatives.

2nd shift paying $21.63 per hour

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements

• Use of handheld measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
