Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA in Brook Park, Ohio, is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator on 1st shift paying $21.63 per hour to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment around the facility.

You will perform stocking, picking, packing, loading/unloading, inventory counts, and maintain safety, 6S and ISO standards while working on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, French).
• Lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 ft.
• Basic math skills required.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
• Safety mindset essential.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment around the facility using a forklift truck.
• Select and package products to fill customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks; verify items loaded/unloaded.
• Pick, process, and pack orders; cut orders on Kaltenbach saw if needed.
• Conduct cycle counts and inspect for defective material.
• Complete paperwork per work instructions; maintain cleanliness and safety on the floor.
• Inspect forklift at shift start and report issues.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Job Description

1st shift paying $21.63 per hour

Key Accountabilities:

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
