Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to move raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the facility using a forklift and related handling equipment.

Under direct supervision, you will perform inventory related tasks, load/unload trucks, and assist with cycle counts while adhering to health, safety, and 6S standards in a busy warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
• Safety mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and packages them properly.
• Loads and unloads trucks and verifies that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; reports issues to supervisor.
• Supports health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This position works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
