Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a Material Handler for the second shift in Brecksville, OH. The role focuses on efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products within the facility, under general supervision.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, labeling, packing, and shipping; supporting inventory accuracy; and lifting heavy items, potentially operating a forklift. Ohio-based position with onsite work.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
• GED or high-school diploma.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, push and pull materials and equipment.

• Supports the inventory management process by counting and verifying materials, parts and products.
• Executes daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing materials, preparing shipments and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Performs a variety of kitting and order functions. Performs cycle count inventory.
• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.

We're looking for a Material Handler to join our team at Brecksville, OH. The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products for a facility. Under general supervision, performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

LOCATION: Brecksville, OH (Onsite) SALARY: $20-21 hourly

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Executes daily material handling activities including receiving, inspecting, and storing materials, parts and products. Ensures that all materials are properly labeled, packaged, and stored in designated areas. (20%)
• Supports the inventory management process by counting and verifying materials, parts and products. Identifies and reports any discrepancies or damages. Recommends process improvements to reduce future discrepancies. (20%)
• Executes daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing materials, preparing shipments and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Contacts carriers to pick up freight. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. (20%)
• Performs a variety of kitting and order functions. Performs cycle count inventory. (20%)
• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. (20%)
