2nd Shift/Full-Time: Monday through Thursday - 3:15 pm to 1:15 am
With experience, make up to $25.54 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential for working 2nd shift.
Primary Responsibilities
Gathers parts from Work in Process racks and palletizes them for more complex assemblies. Transports materials to designated areas as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Locates and arranges for flow of materials, fixtures, and finished components to ensure uninterrupted flow of production by supplying production area with needed materials from inventory.
- Understands and uses Andon light system and its interaction with forklift mounted laptops. May also use handheld scanning tools to log in and out of jobs to claim operations as complete.
- Moves parts through the shop in a timely manner based on material move requests.
- Reads and analyzes the Production Execution report, generated by the company’s ERP system, to determine availability of jobs that are available to kit and then prepares those jobs for subsequent operations.
- Ensures proper functioning and layout of storage areas and identification to insure an organized shop. Maintains general housekeeping and organization of WIP and steel storage areas.
- May rotate into the shipping/receiving department and help as needed by preparing and loading materials on to and off of vehicles. Installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. When unloading, verifies an accurate visual receipt of materials per the drivers’ delivery documentation.
- Occasionally runs a shot blaster to expedite completion of jobs.
- Unloads garbage, steel and chip dumpsters from various areas throughout the plant.
- Takes inventories as directed.
- Operates forklifts, electrical hoists or other power driven equipment to load or move materials.

Qualifications And Education Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED, HSED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training preferred
- Operating a hand truck, forklift, electrical hoists or other power driven equipment to load or move materials
- Previous experience in the metal manufacturing industry preferred, but not required
