2nd Shift/Full-Time
Monday through Thursday - 3:15 pm to 1:15 am.
Pay
With experience, make up to $27.45 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential for working 2nd shift.
Summary
Performs welding operations on a standard and repetitive line of weldments and structures following prescribed procedures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Within defined WPS ranges, adjust and regulate machines to obtain best possible penetration, fill, weld quality and performance, making adjustments for variations and conditions.
- Fit and position weldments using fixtures and jigs or without for weldments with fewer than five parts or as a repeater weldment.
- Control dimensional and alignment requirements with or without fixtures and by technique.
- Use limited technique and basic welding fundamentals; certified in GMAW.
- Use rule, square, protractor, templates and fixed gauges.
- Work subject to process and final inspection and test.
Job Requirements
- Completion of D&S Manufacturing Quality System ISO Procedures.
- Completion of D&S Manufacturing Department ISO Procedures.
- Basic Weld Training class.
- Weld Process Test.
- Weld Symbols Test.
- Welder Qualification Test GM-090.
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel and to talk and hear.
- Regularly stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
- Regularly walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience/training, or equivalent combination.
- Work experience or training demonstrating knowledge of welding principles and techniques.
- One year technical college diploma or certificate in welding (preferred but not required).
