Job summary

OBE is seeking a Material Handler 2 in Indianapolis to move materials within the plant, including glass and metal, and support production efficiency. Starting pay is $22 per hour, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and reliability as part of a growth-focused team.

The role emphasizes on/off-loading, reading work orders, labeling, and basic measurements, with opportunities for stable hours, overtime, and a path to career development within a global manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and prioritize deadlines.
• Prior production/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand and move for 8–10 hours on concrete.
• Able to withstand moderate to high noise levels.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Reads work orders and follows job standards for safety, quality and production.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.
