Job Description

  1. Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine materials to be moved.
  2. Feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process products to and from the equipment in the assigned area.
  3. Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves manually. Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit using hand tools.
  4. Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices.
  5. Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets.
  6. Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or containers.
  7. Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band them using banding machines and clinchers.
  8. Operate automated equipment and/or industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

Qualifications

  1. Good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, standard warehouse procedures, and storage areas to accurately place or retrieve paper stock, signatures, and materials.
  2. Ability to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items according to operating instructions.
  3. Ability to complete forms related to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  4. Skill in using shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts, hand trucks, and hand tools such as hammers, pliers, and stretch wrapping tools.
  5. May require skill in operating/using forklift trucks.

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the specified location is $16.16 - $22.66 / hour. Actual pay may vary based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. The total compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, call-in, and standby pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
