What You’ll Get To Do

The Material Handler is responsible for loading and unloading material for the Metal Warehouse and reports to the Department Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone who can multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and has excellent time management skills. It offers an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. Job responsibilities include:

• Unload all aluminum extrusions.
• Load and unload metal racks of lineal aluminum material using seated forklift.
• Move metal racks to and from the breaking team using standing forklift.
• Transfer materials to storage racks and ensure locations are recorded in the computer via scanner or keyboard.
• Determine pulling order and print pick lists based on job releases from the Master Schedule, marking each item for its final destination.
• Operate large jobs through a 2-3 person breaking team and smaller orders through a 1-person team.
• Verify pick list and receipts for accuracy.
• Supply wool pile machines with work and ensure jobs are completed in the correct order according to the production schedule.
• Organize shipments within the warehouse.
• Operate forklift.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to use measuring devices like dial calipers and tape measures.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Team player attitude.
