Job summary

Crenlo Engineered Cabs is seeking a Material Handler to move materials around the plant using forklift and crane equipment. The role supports production by staging, weighing, and packaging materials and ensuring timely delivery to lines.

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, be capable of manual tasks for 8–10 hours daily, and hold forklift/crane licenses with OSHA training. Join a team focused on safe, high-quality manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Move material around plant using forklift/crane to support production and packaging.
  • Ensure parts are supplied to lines and finished skids moved to warehouse or paint line.
  • Package finished product for shipment and label parts accurately.
  • Track orders and follow bill of material for correct packaging and skidding.
  • Perform housekeeping and general duties to maintain safe, efficient production.
  • Picks parts from picklists and delivers to production lines as scheduled.
  • Complete scheduled tugger routes refilling bins from market.
  • Follow safety policies and quality procedures at all times.

Job description

Summary

The primary role for the Material Handler is moving material around the plant or work site with a forklift and/or crane in order for production to run smoothly. In addition, this role may package/band, weigh, and stage material in a timely and accurate manner. This Material Handler is responsible for performing multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to perform the duties to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Moves material around plant using a forklift and/or crane for producing, finishing, packaging, or shipping the customer product.
  • Ensures areas are supplied with parts and removes finished skids to warehouse or paint line.
  • Moves and stages material as scheduled for optimum efficiency.
  • Provides machine support by emptying scrap tubs and ensuring lines are cleared of finished product.
  • Packages finished product for shipment.
  • Tracks orders and tags.
  • Follows bill of material in order to match product with proper packaging and skidding.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks throughout plant to ensure safe, efficient and quality production of materials.
  • May perform housekeeping duties within the plant when necessary.
  • Picks parts from a picklist and delivers to production lines when scheduled.
  • Performs scheduled tugger routes to production lines refilling bins with parts from a market.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Key Skills And Competencies
  • Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8-10 hrs a day
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus, but not required
  • Competent in basic math and computer skillsCan operate banding tools
  • Can read a tape measure
  • Must be able to handle small parts
  • Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures
  • Ability to recognize quality issues and problems – detect defects
  • Must be able to read, comprehend and follow detailed instructions on productions and understand English
  • Must be able to read and understand bill of material and or production order
  • Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes
  • Must be able to count and label parts accurately
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Must have good safety awareness and efficiency skills
  • Oral and written communication skills – including legible writing
  • 0-6 months prior experience
  • Required OSHA safety training (on the job training provided)
  • Forklift and crane license
  • Must have valid driver’s license
Education And Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions/Other
  • Work Hours/Status:
    • The 1st shift includes Monday - Thursday 5am – 3pm.
    • The 2nd shift includes Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.
    • The weekend shift includes Friday – Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.50/hr.
