Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for a 1st shift material handler in Southington, CT. The role involves moving materials, issuing and stocking on the production lines, and ensuring finished goods are loaded with care.

Qualifications include SAP experience preferred, strong communication skills, and the ability to read shipping lists and operate related automated systems. Heavy lifting and forklift operation are required.

Qualifications

• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand shipping and packing lists, etc.
• Must have adequate computer skills to comprehend and operate related automated systems.
• Strong attention to detail including accurate cycle counting skills.
• Heavy lifting, driving a forklift and handling pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper movement of all materials.
• Accurate issuing and stocking of production lines.
• Cycle counting of raw materials as required.
• Proper picking and loading of finished goods.
• Assures finished goods are accurately loaded and handled with care.
• Assures manufacturing loads are accurate and properly combined.
• Assures scrap material is properly weighed and prepared for pick up.
• Safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned
