Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Connecticut is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will move materials, issue and stock production lines, perform cycle counts, and ensure accurate loading of finished goods.

This role requires lifting heavy items, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, basic computer skills, and attention to detail. SAP experience is preferred and you will benefit from healthcare, PTO, holidays, 401(k) and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Adequate computer skills to operate automated systems.
• Ability to lift heavy items and operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Attention to detail and accurate cycle counting.

Responsibilities

• Move materials accurately and support production lines.
• Issue and stock materials for production.
• Cycle count raw materials as required.
• Load and unload finished goods safely.
• Ensure loads are accurate and handled with care.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Understand shipping and packing lists and related documentation.

Job Details

Base Pay $19.50 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper movement of all materials
• Accurate issuing and stocking of production lines
• Cycle counting of raw materials as required
• Proper picking and loading of finished goods
• Assures finished goods are accurately loaded and handled with care
• Assures manufacturing loads are accurate and properly combined
• Assures scrap material is properly weighed and prepared for pick up
• Safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to understand shipping and packing lists, etc.
• Must have adequate computer skills to comprehend and operate related automated systems
• Strong attention to detail including accurate cycle counting skills
• Heavy lifting, driving a forklift and handling pallet jacks

Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
