Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing is seeking dedicated team members for 1st shift who can handle materials, operate forklifts, and contribute to a safe, efficient production floor. You will move raw materials to the production area and finished goods to storage, while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety practices.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability to cold and wet environments, and compliance with standard procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Prior material handling experience and experience operating powered industrial vehicles.
• Constant walking, standing, bending and stooping.
• Frequent lifting of items up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to work in an environment with cold temperatures and a wet environment.
• Strong teamwork mentality and eagerness to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in combos/vats according to predetermined sequence.
• Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials and distribute to production areas.
• Record amount of materials or items received or distributed.
• Operate forklift and automation system to move product throughout the manufacturing plant, including moving raw material to production floor and finished goods to packaged storage.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tooling and workspace area.
• Protect employees and company safety and security through reporting and stopping occurrences such as damage to product and/or property, theft, product tampering and questionable behavior.
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
