Job summary

Ascentek in Louisiana is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations on first shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role focuses on receiving, storing, moving, staging, and shipping materials to ensure smooth production and timely customer deliveries.

You will work with WMS/ERP systems, operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, and participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining inventory accuracy and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-4 years of forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with WMS/ERP systems or handheld scanners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, unload, and store incoming materials using forklifts and other handling equipment.
• Move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging between warehouse, storage, and production areas.
• Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production orders and shipments.
• Read schedules and documents to determine material requirements and priorities.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, lot numbers, and locations; report discrepancies.
• Record inventory transactions in WMS/ERP systems with handheld scanners.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accuracy.
• Prepare outbound shipments with proper labeling and documentation.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement activities.
