Job summary

Ascentek Services, LLC in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations, receiving, storing, moving, staging, and shipping materials to ensure efficient production and timely customer deliveries.

You will read schedules, verify quantities, use WMS/ERP and handheld scanners, operate forklifts, maintain clean safe workspace, and participate in continuous improvement while adhering to ISO and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or material handling preferred.
• 1-4 years of forklift operation experience preferred.
• Experience with WMS/ERP or handheld scanners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, unload, and store incoming materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials between warehouse, storage, and production areas.
• Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production orders and customer shipments.
• Read production schedules, work orders, shipping documents, and PWTs to determine material requirements and priorities.
• Verify material quantities, part numbers, lot numbers, and inventory locations while reporting discrepancies or damaged materials.
• Accurately complete inventory transactions using WMS, ERP systems, and handheld scanners.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Prepare outbound shipments by verifying materials, labeling products, and completing required documentation.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment while performing required equipment inspections.
