Job summary

DSV is seeking a Material Handler for the Canal Winchester facility on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). You will load/unload freight, manage inventory, and ensure accurate handling and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years of warehouse experience, and the ability to operate a forklift and computer systems. OSHA regulations familiarity is preferred, with a focus on safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 1-3 years of warehouse experience.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations and forklift operation.
• Able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding.
• Proficient with a computer and warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Unload containers and sort by size and destination.
• Read freight codes to expedite movement and tracing.
• Reconcile driver pickup and delivery manifests.
• Label, weigh, and dimension freight.
• Maintain safe, clean dock areas and perform inventories.
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight.
• Commit to required documentation and related duties.
