Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Material Handler for the 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) at the Canal Winchester, Ohio facility. You will load/unload freight, manage inventory, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation.

Responsibilities include reading freight codes, reconciling manifests, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment. 1–3 years of experience and OSHA familiarity are preferred.

Job Title: Material Handler, RMA – 1st shift Mon‑Fri: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Role Summary

Responsible for loading and unloading freight accurately, inventory control, rotation and inspection and other warehouse related duties.

Principal Responsibilities

• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
• Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size of freight and destination
• Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing process
• Reconcile driver pick up and delivery manifests
• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight
• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reportsResponsible for inventory, rotation and inspection of freight held in the warehouse
• Complete required documentation and other duties as needed
• Maintain quality standards for warehouse storage and service, including communication to internal and external customers
• Maintain and ensure a safe working environment

Working Environment

Assignments are moderately complex, requiring judgment in problem resolution and routine recommendations. Errors are detectable upon supervisory review with limited impact on corporate operations and fiscal health. Regular interaction with peers and management is expected. Work scope is moderately complex and generally receives minimal instruction on routine work, with general instructions on new assignments.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to operate hand truck and forklift.
• Physical capability to push, pull, lift varying weights up to 50 lbs.

Compensation

Expected base pay range: $20.33 – $20.33. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
