Job description

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a 1st Shift Material Handler. Shift: Mon – Fri 7:00 am to 3:30 am. Pay: $21 per hour.

Job Description

Responsible for operating powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product. Check all inbound and outbound goods to ensure they are free of damage and infestation, that product code dates are recorded correctly, and that items match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes for more than 20% of the shift.
• Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock, ensuring the exact number and type of items requested by the customer are checked and loaded correctly.
• Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and address against the customer’s order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Verify and report discrepancies such as non‑available products and OS&D.
• Maintain the facility and its equipment in a neat, clean, orderly manner and inspect all operated equipment daily.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum six months warehouse experience.
• Minimum six months forklift operation experience.

Additional Qualifications

A minimum of six months experience operating stand‑up material handling equipment is required. Preference will be given to applicants who have operated a stand‑up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck. Experience operating additional equipment such as an Order (Cherry) Picker, sit‑down, clamp, or electric pallet jack is a plus. Minimum experience of six months using a commercial WMS such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, SAP, or Manhattan is highly preferred.
