Job summary

Edgewell is seeking a Material Handler to move product and components to and from the packaging line, and to load and unload trucks. You will help keep lines supplied to insure continuous operation and support the production team.

This role requires basic high school education, the ability to work in a team, and a commitment to safety and GMP standards. Training will cover forklift operation, documentation, and proper packaging procedures.

JOB PURPOSE:

• Move product and components to and from packaging line
• Load and unload trucks

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:

• Keeping lines supplied with proper components to insure continuous operation.
• Operate and maintain stretch-wrappers, and other equipment.
• Loading and unloading of trailers.
• Maintain proper documents and identification of product.
• Know how to operate and maintain fork lifts.
• Safely operate forklifts at all times.
• Report all problems to lead operator.
• Other lead/supervisor directed tasks.
• Fill in on line as needed.
• Train other team members.
• Required to follow all safety, FDA, GMP, GDP requirements

RESULTS EXPECTED:

• Ensure proper loading and documentation of outgoing product.
• Ensure proper components supplied to line.
• Ensure proper skid wrapping of finished product.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of resource needs list.
• Ability to function in a team environment.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES / DECISION MAKING

• Ensure proper loading of trucks.
