Job summary

thyssenkrupp in Kansas is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to move raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the facility. You will operate a forklift and may also use cranes, hoists and hand trucks under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include stocking and selecting products for orders, loading/unloading trucks, cycle counts, defect material segregation, and maintaining safety standards on the warehouse floor, including ISO and 6S practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs for 100 feet.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
  • Safety mindset.

  • Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
  • Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and verifies correct items are loaded and unloaded.
  • Picking, processing and packing orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
  • Completes cycle counts.
  • Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
  • Completes paperwork per work instructions when required.
  • Performs general cleanup.
  • Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift and reports issues.
  • Participates in health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives and requirements.
  • Assists in other duties to support operation, as requested.
  • This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
