Job description

Job Title: Material Handler

We are seeking a Material Handler to join our VALUES-based organization. The role involves:

Responsibilities

1. Unloading trucks and railroad cars, and replenishing warehouse stock.
2. Picking orders with a forklift until complete.
3. Reporting shortages, damages, or other issues.
4. Consulting with sales team for order adjustments.
5. Using handheld scanners for receiving, picking, loading, and cycle counting, in line with Warehouse Management System (WMS) procedures.
6. Collaborating with the WMS Coordinator for questions and updates.
7. Banding, wrapping, and preparing materials for shipping.
8. Arranging truck loads according to safe weight distribution.
9. Adhering to safety policies and procedures during warehouse duties.

Additional Functions

• Filling customer orders.
• Performing routine warehouse/yard maintenance.
• Inspecting forklifts daily per OSHA regulations.
• Cross-training and supporting team members.
