Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operator to load, move, and inspect materials at our Houston facility. The role sits in Fortify Building Solutions, with a base pay of $18.00 per hour and a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Overtime availability and varied shift lengths (8, 10, or 12 hours) depend on daily work orders and seasonality. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other equipment, while following SOPs and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; HSE preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a warehouse/manufacturing role.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50–75 lbs periodically.
• Proficiency with electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Able to work in varying environments including cold.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multi-task, prioritize, and shift priorities quickly.
• Comfortable with repetitive movements and standing/walking long hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
• Weigh, measure, and inspect raw materials according to work orders.
• Load, unload, and move crates, boxes, and materials within the plant, yard, or work site.
• Sort, check, and distribute kits and components to production lines with accuracy.
• Load/unload trailers between the main site and off-site distribution center.
• Verify and sign for inbound freight from suppliers; clean and label materials.
• Use hand tools to open containers and assist operators/inspectors.
• Operate elevators and other equipment to assist product movement.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, OSHA, and safety/security/environment guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Base pay rate is $18.00 per hour

Day Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, hours vary depending on operations

This position sits within our Fortify Building Solutions business, which serves the pre‑engineered metal buildings, metal roof and wall systems, and steel building components industry.
